LOGO DESIGN ASSIGNMENT

For this week, our assignment is to create a logo for "our" company. Each one of us are to design a company using an object or animal to represent ourselves and our individual personalities.
_________________________________________________________________________________

I decided to go with a bunny as an animal that represents me. My company would represent my cute and bubbly personality. And the clothes are mainly going to be designed for girls who doesn't like showing their skin, appropriate clothing, but they still wants to keep up with the fashion trend. With unique clothing but a taste of innocent and cute to them.

Bunnies are vulnerable and sensitive which reminds me a lot about me, I get hurt easily by words especially from the people who are close to me. Just by saying something a little bit different I would over think and became hurt. They are also a representation to love because they are after all one of the animals that reproduce extremely fast in the spring time. Bunnies tend to have a shy personality and are like the symbolization of innocent, I guess I am innocent and for shyness, once I'm around older people, I automatically become shy.

PERSONALITYI'm usually a person that loves people, energetic and caring. But when I'm concentrating I block out and ignore everyone. You're kind to me I'm kind to you, you're mean to me, I ignore you.

CLIENTS: I plan on aiming girls around the ages of twenties and teens. For the people who loves keeping up with the latest fashion trend but don't want to show too much skin, looking appropriate. Focusing mainly on innocent, girl and cute looks.

     COMPANY: Lovelita Doll House/Boutique

Repetition and Rhythm Assignment

Rhythm and Repetition

As you can you see the two pictures below have a sense of rhythm to it.

A.

Picture A is consist of only straight lines, but the thing that creates the rhythm of this art is that I changed the directions creating more of an abstract feeling. Adding to the abstract look, I purposely spaced the lines differently, from being close to each other and then slowly moving far away creating a feeling that the picture is slowly shrinking. For the cherry on top, I included the use of thickness and thinness which resulted to an illusion of a tunnel or an alley.
While making this line art, I intended to interpret a dark, mysterious type of feeling, like you're walking down a pathway without knowing when it will end or if it will ever end...a never ending journey full of unknown things that is ahead.

B.

For Picture B, you can see the great change in the rhythm of Picture A. This rhythm is a lot more calming and steady. It has its own pace, not so dynamic like Picture A. The variety of different lines technique is use a lot less but as you see I still added some of those elements creating this feeling of movement. The movement is made up by straight lines again, but the lengths vary, going from short, to medium to long, repeating the steps leading to the illusion of moving up and down. Including the element of thickness and thinness, it gives off a 3-D feel. For me I was going for a musical feel, like the lines represent the beats from songs.

Do they work? Yes, they for sure give off a rhythm for me and the people who saw my line art. I mean by looking at it you can feel the beat can't you? It's quite pleasing to the eye, just that Picture A kind of tricks your eye at first glance but all in all I think both the my creation has harmony. Personally I would go with Picture A, since it feels more interesting and the way the lines are placed together is really eye-catching because of the illusion in the picture.

Dainty!

For the first time ever, I actually created a blog!!! My blog

focuses on art specifically drawings, observation and art

pieces. Luckily I got accepted for Cyber Arts and here I am

writing my blog and starting to learn more about the things I

love. My art story began with noticing my older brother was

drawing cartoon characters and from that on, I tried to draw

at first I must admit I was pretty awful at it. But of course I'm

a lot better and here I am in Cyber Arts!!!!
